Welcome to the web site of the Garden State Speed Skating Club (GSSC),
members
of Middle
Atlantic Skating Association and
USSpeedskating. We practice short track speedskating every year from September to March. If
you are new to speedskating, or looking for a club to join, check out our site for information on speed skating.
Our vendor list is a source for speed skates and any associated equipment you may need. If you are not a member of the club we would love to have you
join.
Are you a good skater but never tried speedskating? Come join us for a
session and try it out. You may just discover a sport you can enjoy for the rest
of your life! See our schedule under "Club Information" for dates and times.
Important
Beginning of Season Reminders:
You will not be allowed onto the ice without the following. For forms go to Club
Information/Forms.
Bring your signed GSSC Waiver form
Bring your completed GSSC Registration form (with check if for a prepaid
membership)
Bring a copy of your current USSpeedskating membership card
Bring your MASA membership form and check (free for first year members)
Planning Ahead
This year's Special Olympics Winter Games will be held on February 1-2 at Mennen
Arena. Club members who are willing to volunteer, both on-ice and off-ice,
should contact Pete Fitterer or Glen Hukins. Whether you can donate one morning
or two, your contribution to this worthy cause is greatly appreciated.
