With your membership, you receive the “Racing Blade” and “Ice Chips” periodicals, as well as insurance that covers skating injuries that occur during club practice sessions and meets. Membership forms are attached. RACINGMETRO-SERIES RACES. These are informal races held once per year at each of the local clubs in the MASA during their normal practice session time slot. Novice skaters are encouraged to attend to get the feel of a real meet. Cost is nominal and ribbons/metals are awarded for each race and for season totals. Membership in the USS or MASA is not required. USS Speedskating Meets. Held throughout the winter at various rinks across the country. Novices may race for the first year without being members of USS or MASA, however, non-novice racers must join both organizations. Schedule is attached and updated at http://Speedskating.org |
